vision

Since I began this blog, I was unsure of what my goals were and what message I wanted to share.  As evidenced by some of my early 2016 posts, I have done some deep soul searching this year and have a much clearer vision for my life, my work, and even this blog.  It sounds silly, but it's true!  I want to create something that will assist you in feeling empowered to make choices that not only improve your health on a scientific and biological level, but that will make you feel good, energetic, and happy.

Most of my writing will relate to food and recipes.  While some of my older posts contain recipes with meat in them, my new ones will be vegetarian to reflect the choices that I have felt empowered to make in my own life.

I truly believe that food is at the epicenter of our health.  I believe that it can be a method for both preventing and treating illness, even more than staying active. Please don't misunderstand, I do also believe that physical activity is another key component to wellness. But because of the power that food has on our wellness, that will be my primary focus.  You can find a full list of recipes on the "eat" tab at the top of your page.

I may also throw in workouts that I have done or made up randomly so that you can try those out too.  These may include old track workouts that I used to do as well as the random circuits that I make up to keep myself moving these days.  You can find a full list of workouts under the "move" tab at the top of your page.

In the wake of determining a clearer vision on life, I have taken many steps to de-clutter and to simplify my life and that includes this blog.  In the spirit of simplification, I have removed the DIY projects and random photography posts.  I want this blog to represent components of wellness and not just be like a diary for myself, despite sometimes reading like one.

As always, if you ever have questions, comments, or other feedback, I would love to hear from you!  Please reach out!  I want this to be an interactive experience for all of us!
